TRFMP Public Workshops - Questionnaire

The Thames River and its tributaries are home to a wide variety of fish species, each of which plays an important part in this ecosystem. A Fisheries Management Plan is a resource document that provides background information about the historic and current fish community and about physical conditions within the watershed. The plan is used to set management directions for the fish community, the fish habitat, and human use of the resource.

By answering this questionnaire, you are helping us to develop a more accurate understanding of the fish community in your area.

Please copy and paste the four questions below into an email, and send it to Teresa Hollingsworth, Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (email: hollingswortht at thamesriver dot on dot ca).

If you prefer to print off a copy of the survey and mail it in, please click here to open the pdf file: Survey

Thank you!

1. Resource - What can you tell us about the river and the fish as a resource in your area, in your experience? Over time, have things changed? How? To ensure that we know what area(s) you are referring to, please identify the location(s) by referencing the maps by management zone, grid, and watercourse name.

2. Issues - What do you think impacts the health of the fish in the Thames? What do you see as the biggest challenges facing the future of the fish of the Thames?

3. Plan - What would you like to see the fisheries management plan accomplish? What would signal to you that the plan has been a success? Are there questions that the plan should endeavour to answer?

4. Opportunities - Are there activities that you would suggest for helping to support the fish in the Thames? Are there ways that we can involve the public in improving the health of the fishery?

If you would like to be added to our contact list and receive summaries of the workshops and notices of upcoming meetings, please provide your contact information (name, address, email).
